I’m not running away. I’m a little injured, but I’m ok.
But this is the last prep week before our annual Cruisin’ The Coast down on the coast of Mississippi. I’m shining this old girl up.

Now next week, I will be out of pocket for most of the week. This is the one event that takes precedence over CFB with me.

Well, I got my cover panels completed. This car has a huge space between the core support and the grill. I used this space to put my ignition box and coil when I swapped it over to EFI. However I didn’t want folks to just be able to walk up and see all that. So the flat sheet metal panels you see in front, these are readily available for many cars and trucks, but not for this model Mustang.

So that put me on the sheet metal break. I’m not a metal fab guy, but I can dabble. Anyway, I got them done a few years ago, but didn’t have time to paint them right. So the thrashing I was doing all last week, and again yesterday, was body working them, and then putting a good 2 part poly on them. I need a few more coats so I can sand out the imperfections in the paint, but for this week, this will have to do.

Engine bay is as clean as it’s going to get. If someone doesn’t like it, they can grab a rag.

Looking real damn nice! Can you link me to the CTC so I can see what it actually means, and the route?

It’s a week long rolling car show on the Mississippi coast. The venue cities are (From west to east) Bay Saint Louis, Pass Christian, Gulfport/Biloxi share a venue, D’Iberville, Ocean Springs, and Pascagoula. But the venues don’t do stamping until Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. For this coming Sunday through Wednesday, there will be numerous other events up and down the coastline.

My favorite event only takes about 30 minutes of our time, but means so much. On Tuesday, we will line up just outside the gates to the Veteran’s Retirement Home. They can’t come down to highway 90, but we can bring 90 up to them. We will cruise through and the residents will all be lining the sidewalks. We all fly flags, and most of these ladies and gentlemen will salute the flags.

Here is a picture of me rolling through last year. The orange 59 Apache behind me is my cruising buddy. The picture was taken by some other friends of ours.

There is no real route. You go and come as you wish. Last year we had over 10,000 registered cruisers. Probably at least half that many that didn’t register, just came and cruised.

Check out the schedule, there is plenty to see and do. And it’s a Must-Do for any classic car/truck enthusiast

That is super cool. Keep us updated!

I do a few videos every year. Of course my versions of them have some kick-ass soundtracks, but when you upload them to Youtube, you have to use their Fked up songs that they have copy-rights to. So forgive me for this elevator music soundtrack, just know that my originals have some of the best rock and roll ever made.
