I expect a little CFP chaos. I think Ohio State takes Indiana to the woodshed. However I am not sure that 1 loss will slide Indiana completely out of the field. But think if they were to fall to around say #12, they could still be first team out due to the Big 12 stealing a seat at the table.

There are plenty of games with upset potential. I am getting sick at my stomach already dreading the trip to Gainesville.

Several teams can "save their season" by ruining someone else's. Never a good prospect when your team (my team?) is one of the ones that can be wrecked.

I think OU has the talent, but lack the know how. I kind of thought Venables would be a better coach than he has turned out to be. I like defensive minded coaches, but Venables just hasn’t shown he can handle a program.

I think Bama is focused. They had a reset type game last week. A kind of live practice.

I agree, unless OU comes out and shows something they haven't shown all year, I feel confident about this one. The one that looms on the horizon is the Iron Bowl. Contrary to popular belief, the better team USUALLY wins, but there are aberrations where AU has played out of their minds-but these usually happen in Jordan-Hare with the help of officials. BUT, let's get this week out of the way before we start thinking about that.

Interesting. Obviously I watch the iron bowl, but rarely do I analyze it from a talent perspective. I do know I’ve been burned a few times on pickems. The kick 6 definitely cost me.

But with that said, the Egg Bowl is won many times by the lesser team. Mostly coming down to which team is more motivated. To me, a fan, I don’t need much motivation to hate the mutts, but the players today are different. Many aren’t from in state. They weren’t raised on the rivalry like players from years ago. So it comes down to how seriously a coach takes the game. The coach has to see the tone for his players.

I think it could be kind of quiet, but we'll see. I mean some teams are going to lose sure, but major upsets? IDK.

Once the 12 team format was introduced I told someone it was going to be just like the NFL. I did not think it would only take one year. There are going to be plenty of 2 loss teams and possibly even a 3 loss team in the playoffs.
