Auburn Who’s seat is hotter?

It's still Napier, Hugh is going to get another year.

I think both their seats are hot AF but let’s talk about Norvell at Fl State. What the hell are they going to do, he’s signed through like 2030.

What happens to Freeze is still subject to change. 3-0 or 2-1 with one of the wins against Bama would most likely get him another year. 1-2 or 0-3 to finish could get him out of there. Napier is 1-8 with only probable (?) win remaining. 2-10 probably punches his ticket. 3-0 to finish might buy him another year if all the transfers who jumped on the bandwagon don't jump right back off.

Hugh is going to get another year, but Napier's recruiting efforts (currently below 50th in the country) aren't helping him get another year.

I’m telling ya, Hooker Hugh’s seat is getting hotter by the second. He was the Yella-Fella’s guy, so you’re probably right as they will give him as much of a chance as is possible. However I peruse their 247 and On3 boards often, and I have not seen one poster that is in Hugh’s corner.

I’ve been through a bunch of coaching carousel seasons, and I can usually find 1 or 2 that want another year…… but not at Auburn.

I'd ask the same question I'd ask Florida then, who are you going to get that's better?

And that superb recruiting class might dissolve if they made the change now.

Well we all know who seems to be the top name on any list. However I can assure everyone that Ole Miss will not allow the decision of Lane to be made over money.

Lane may go somewhere he sees as a better path to a championship, and quite honestly, Florida bothers me since he loves coastal living and already has a home in Boca. With that said though, Ole Miss will match any money offer that anyone WILL (Not can) make, and Lane has free and exclusive access to one of the Universities jets. No other coaches can use it, so he can be in Boca within 3 hours of his decision to actually go to Boca.

Outside of Lane, I can actually see Auburn making a run at Lebby. That may sound funny seeing as how he has not had great success at State, but it is his first season, and following Arnett has hurt. Jeff Lebby is IMO a good coach. Outside the SEC, places like Florida and Auburn all think they can just name a name and they come running, so I would expect to see Lanning’s name thrown around, and I’ve even seen some say Lincoln Riley. They think they can get him on the cheap since he isn’t exactly lighting it up at USC.

This off season will be interesting.

Someone told me with Nike's Money there's virtually an endless pit at Oregon for Lanning to build teams and get paid. Thinking along those lines, it'd be hard to see him leave I'd guess.

Oh I agree, he ain’t going, but that won’t stop folks at places like Auburn and Florida thinking they can get him.

I still can't imagine either of these schools improving themselves by getting rid of what they have now...
Oh there is way better than Hooker Hugh, but I like Napier. Mullen didn’t do him any favors and it all happened in the world of NIL.

Now will any of the coaches that are better than Hugh take the job at Auburn? Not sure. They are a mess as we have all seen.

So here are a few names I’ve seen floated for Auburn over the last couple nights of anonymous cruising their boards.

Jon Sumrall from Tulane
Curt Cignetti from Indiana
Rhett Lashlee from SMU
Glenn Schumann, DC at UGA

The WarTigles are ready to pull the trigger yesterday. lol.

One of their posters said he felt that Sumrall would be the next head coach at UK if they fire Stoops, so……. The others said if UK fires Stoops, then he would be a good fit for job.
